Vows
Information provided:
I am a minister and have been asked to come up with vows for my nephew.
Carrie and Mike both share a 4-year old daughter, Madison. Carrie has an 11-year old son, named Brandon, who lives with them, as well.
They struggle and live paycheck to paycheck. Carrie's mother, Keni is pretty much making the wedding possible and is always there for them. They are a very family-oriented couple.
They have great senses of humor, and love to party, even though life is not easy for them. They both smoke cigarettes and have tattoos. Mike is a huge sports fan and follows the Cleveland Browns, Indians and anything Cleveland. They believe it was love at first sight for them.
Here are the
Vows it generated:
Carrie and Mike, you both believe
in falling in love at first sight.
And so, you stand before me,
as your vows you're about to recite.
But, what is it that has brought you here,
what is the glue that binds you?
I believe it's the way you respond to each other
in everything you do.
Life has not been at all easy,
yet, through it all, you still manage to laugh.
As you make your way through daily life,
looking out for each other's behalf.
That's how a family behaves after all,
and you both know that for sure.
Keni's always been there for you and the grandchildren she does adore.
Now, it's certain that you love each other,
but do you promise you'll never stop?
And continue to laugh with each other,
gaining strength from every tear drop?
We all know life has its trials,
but you can still party with the best.
Don't ever stop having the good times;
never give love time to rest.
Carrie will you cheer for the Indians,
Michael's favorite baseball team?
And, Mike, if the Browns miss a field goal,
do you promise not to be mean?
You're committing to one another,
'cause there's no need for anyone else.
You'll be there no matter what happens
and work things out for yourselves.
It's time to get rid of your cigarettes,
but you can get another tattoo.
