From Wife to Husband Poem

Information provided:

If I could put together the perfect man, I wouldn’t have to because I am married to him.  We’ve been married 22 years and he has qualities that after all these years turned out to be what I would look for today in a man.  The quality I love the most about him is his ability to say “so what”.  He is a go with the flow type of a person.  Calm, and always sees the good in people.   He always says, if no one we love is sick, we’ll figure the rest out.  He is also fond of saying, “whatever makes you happy”.  And he means it.  We have interests away from each other.  He likes to golf, I like to swim.  We live in a warm climate, so we get to do that.  We have certain tv shows we love to watch together.  Another huge quality is the fact that he laughs easily.  He is very handy around the house, although he works in an office.   He invested wisely and although he’s not quite 50, we are comfortable enough so that money is not an issue.  He’s always ready to lend a helping hand.  He is a “safe place” for me, never using things I say against me, or minimizing things that are important to me, even though they may not be important to him.  He always makes me feel that I am his equal and  that my opinion matters.  I am never “afraid” to share may feelings because of this.  He is romantic still, choosing gifts and surprising me is something he loves to do.  He may not know what he’s looking for when he leaves the house, but roams the stores, finding items he didn’t even know he was looking for, but knowing they would be exactly what I’d want.  He is so romantic.  He still plans little get-aways all the time.  Sometimes, he packs for me, cause he wants to surprise me.  I don’t know where we’re going until we are there, or at the airport. He also likes to cook, we have the same tastes in food…spicey!  We cook together, but sometimes he likes to cook for me. Oh, and get this…he loves to brush my hair!  He is an understanding father and beyond devoted to me and our two daughters, both in college.  They are daddy’s little girls.  I want him to know that I know how lucky I am this Valentine’s Day.

 Here's the Poem it generated:

For twenty two years, I’ve been blessed to say that I am your wife.

You’re all I could ever want in a mate; you gave me such a great life.

The quality I love most about you is how easily you say “so what”.

What matters most to you in life, is the family that you’ve got.

You’re calm and understanding, and you laugh easily, as a rule.

We may differ in our opinions, but you never ridicule.

You see the best in others, giving the benefit of the doubt.

I’m so used to all your kindness, with which I can’t live without.

I love the surprises that you look for when you go out shopping for me,

The time and effort involved in the “hunt” is so easy for me to see.

I love our little get-aways, how romantic are you, dear.

How much you really love me couldn’t be more clear.

Watching our tv shows each week is something else that we share,

We’re “on the same page” about so many things; I love when you brush my hair.

Cooking together is so much fun, we agree on how much spice,

But, sometimes, you like to cook alone, and that is also nice!

You’re a wonderful dad to our daughters; you know how much they love you.

And I love you more than life, itself; for who you are, and for all  that you do.

Happy Valentine’s Day, George

Love, Corinne
