Poem For The Son of A Dear Friend

Here's the information provided:

 The son of a very dear friend of mine is getting married and I would love to present him and his fiance with a poem about how they met and ended up with each other.  I would like to place it in a frame and give it to the bride and groom, as part of their gift.

Mike left home and lived in California for a while and when he returned, he worked as a bartender in a local pub.  He is "soap opera handsome" and I'm sure the girls of the area were thrilled to see the new guy making drinks.  But, one night around Christmastime,  beautiful Megan ended up at Pippin's Pub with her girlfriends.  And that was the beginning of it all. After a couple of years, Mike was sure he wanted to propose.  He made arrangements with the folks at Rockefeller Center to ask Megan to marry him.  The ice was cleared and as "You Are So Beautiful" (their song) played over the p.a., Mike got on one knee on the ice and proposed.  Mike is a huge Yankees' fan and Megan had to adjust to that!  They are a lovely couple and very much in love.

I hope this is helpful.  Thank you.

Here's the Poem it generated:

Returning from California, Mike,

Your timing was just right,

When you took a job mixing drinks

To all the young girls’ delight.

But, one special girl did catch your eye

During Christmastime that year.

The one you would spend your life with;

The one you would hold so dear.

Landing a job in Pippin’s Pub

turned out to be a good thing,

‘Cause Mike you found the love of your life;

Megan, you made his heart sing.

It’s easy for anyone to see

How much in love you two are.

Megan you marked your destiny

When you chose to go to that bar.

 The time came for a proposal,

 Mike, you prepared  for so long

You arranged for it to be perfect.

On your knee, on the ice, to “your” song.

 So, Megan, you must be a Yankees’ fan

Now that you’re Michael’s wife.

And cheer for Mike’s beloved team

For all the days of your life.

As you face the future together,

You both are wished only the best.

Just continue to love each other,

And God will take care of the rest!

Divine Blessings!  Happy Life!

Testimonial:

I can't thank you enough.  The lovely wedding cake stationery was a beautiful background for your perfect poem.  I placed it in a silver frame, and they loved it!  It was so much more than I hoped for.
